On February 17th 2024, Mwanakombo Bakar (TDYA leader Zanzibar), Sr Mwanaharusi Khamis( T1DM Zanzibar Clinic) and George Kwayu TDYA Chairman all took part in a one hour interview on Furaha Radio “The Youth Choice” 90.9 MHz Mlandege Zanzibar.
Discussion centred around issues pertaining to the Zanzibar culture such as challenges faced by young people with T1DM E.g marital issues, childbirth and the
knowing the difference between Type1 and Type2 diabetes mainly found in the older age group.
Over 69,000 listeners were registered along with one thousand text and phone messages. As far as time would allow, questions were answered by the team.
