Why extra glucose test strips?
• Good control of T1DM demands close blood sugar monitoring throughout the day requiring at least 6 blood sugar tests per day which amounts to 180 glucose test strips (i.e. 4 tins) per month per person.
• People with T1DM using test strips from donors or health insurance Funds are limited to receive only 50 strips (1 tin) per month which is never enough.
